  Applications:

The Caledonian Airborne Systems CPT-900 Emergency Locator Transmitter beacon P/N 070-0900-001 is a direct replacement for the widely used CPT-606 and CPT-609 ADELT beacons, with additional features introduced to satisfy automatic fixed ELT requirements.

The CPT-900 is a Class 1/2 ELT providing 121.5 MHz, 243 MHz and 406 MHz transmissions designed to meet the performance and environmental requirements of specifications Cospas-Sarsat C/S T.001 & EUROCAE ED-62A: and technical standards EASA ETSO 2C-91a & ETSO 2C-126, and FAA TSO-C91a & TSO-C126. The beacon possesses the degree of ruggedness, flammability, reliability and maintainability compatible with airborne use.

E-TSO'D and built under Caledonian Airborne Systems EASA Part-21 Subpart G approval, the beacon is designed for compliance with UK Civil Aviation Authority requirements for aircraft operating over sea and land, and satisfies Scale KKK (i) & (ii) of the amended Schedule 4 of the UK Air Navigation Order 2000, and JAR-OPS 3.820.

In aircraft retrofit situations, minimal Carrier and Control Panel modifications guarantee interface with current CPT-606 and CPT-609 ADELT installations with no further modifications required. Maintenance and servicing activities remain consistent with those for the CPT-609 and are described within the system 25-60-04 series Component Maintenance Manuals. With the current Lithium battery retained, life and replacement intervals remain unchanged at 3 years.
