Applications :
SCORPIO® is a Mission Computer that is way ahead of its class in the market in terms of Technology. It provides Voice and Text Tx / Rx via Satcom for beyond LOS, and Encrypted UHF within LOS. This enables Flight Following and display at HQ.
SCORPIO® provides the integration of Radar TWS and Automatic Identification System to present a “Situation Awareness” that is beyond any available Mission Computer today or in years to come.
SCORPIO® re-introduces its Helicopter to Helicopter Relative Air Position "RAP" which was flown in October 1987 from Aberdeen, Scotland. This system offers the ability to display airborne traffic to participating helicopters with the minimum of aircraft modifications. Pilots are able to view the entire situation displayed at either one of the glass cockpit displays, or on older helicopters, over the radar display. Participating aircraft report Ident, Position, Vertical Separation, Speed and Trail. Traffic can also be monitored by Oil Platforms.
