Applications:

This IFE video system can be configured to best meet the needs of a particular operator and aircraft type. The system design allows ease of installation, high reliability and ease of maintenance.

The video players are ruggedized and available to play PAL / NTSC / SECAM formats on both VHS and Video 8 tapes. Video distribution is by single wire for both single channel and multi-channel systems. The multi-channel system uses cable TV techniques. The displays are low power devices, power being derived from aircraft +28Vdc or 115Vac.

The video audio can be transmitted by Infra Red either from distributed high power transmitters or from the displays themselves to light weight cordless headsets which are also used for the stereo audio music system, CPT 1800C, if installed. There is a PA override on both video and audio.

There are many possible options including displaying video from viewing camera, on board TV tuner, moving map display device, safety announcement device and thermal images.
