CPT-1800C Cordless Headset System 'Music to your ears'

An example of the Infrared Communications equipment.

The CPT-1800C is a remote mounted system for distribution of audio signals in the aircraft by infra red light. The infra red light is invisible to the human eye but detected by the electronic headset. Mono or stereo music as well as PA announcements will be received over the entire cabin. This system is particularly suitable for commuter and regional airlines.

The system interfaces with existing Public Address and music reproducing installations. Design of installation will allow continued use of Public Address to passengers via the headset in the case of PA amplified failure.

The basic CPT-1800C system consists of three major components:

  • Remotely mounted Infra Red Control Unit
  • Cabin mounted Infra Red Transmitted
  • Lightweight Electronic Headsets
